The batch of special launch edition of the Peugeot 208 GTi intended for the UK market has already sold out. Of the total 54 cars to be built, all 29 of the cars meant for the UK have found owners. The Peugeot GTI Limited Edition, which was unveiled at the recently held Paris motor show, will be offered together with the standard car during its launch in late May 2013. It will have a starting price of £20,495. The standard car is likely to be priced at about £19,000. Peugeot produced 29 units for the UK. The number signifies the years since the original 205 GTi was launched in 1984. Peugeot hopes that with this car, Peugeot will make consumers nostalgic about the iconic vehicle. All of the special editions will feature a higher specification instead of additional power or chassis improvements compared to the standard 208 GTI. These cars will bear individual numbers and will feature sat-nav and DAB digital radio, the first time for a Peugeot to get these features. The vehicle will have a pearlescent white finish. It will ride on a set of 17in Carbon Onyx Black alloy wheels and on its lower grille, there will be a Union Jack painted on.
