Today, our Porsche insider confirmed that the 2013 Cayman will make its world debut this fall at the 2012 LA Auto Show. Although the design will not be a big surprise, due to the fact that the front end will resemble the 2013 Boxster, the new Cayman will feature a restyled rear end. The engines will be the same on the Boxster, which means that we will find a 2.7-liter engine delivering around 275 hp (in the Boxster the engine delivers 265 hp, but we know that the Cayman is a little more powerful than its open-top brother).The 2013 Cayman S will get the 3.4-litre engine delivering around 325 hp. Performances will be about the same seen on the Boxster and Boxster S, a sprint from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.7 seconds, 5.0 seconds respectively. The engines will be available with a six-speed manual transmission, while the PDK will be available as an option. The Cayman S will offer the Sport Chrono Package as an option.
