The new Vauxhall Mokka will go on sale this November with a starting price of £16,995. The Mokka will be going up against the Nissan Juke and Ford Ecosport. From launch, three trim levels (S, Exclusiv and SE) are available for Vauxhall’s high-riding five-seater (based on GM’s Gamma II platform). These are the entry-level 113bhp 1.6-litre petrol, turbocharged 138bhp 1.4 petrol (4x4 as standard) and the company’s 128bhp 1.7CDTi unit. The S-spec models have the following as standard: air-conditioning, 16-inch alloys, daytime running lights, hill start assist, digital radio and cruise control. Opting for the Exclusiv spec provides Bluetooth, parking sensors and 18-inch alloys. But for the top-of-the-line SE Mokkas, expect to get heated leather seats, tinted glass, chrome-effect door handles and adaptive headlights. The most fuel-efficient front-wheel-drive, six-speed manual diesel Mokka returns 60.1mpg with 124g/km CO2. The most powerful car in the range, the 138bhp 1.4T, boasts of 44.8mpg and 149g/km CO2. The entry-level five-speed 1.6-litre cars come with 43.5mpg with 153g/km CO2.
