Fiesta, Ford’s small car, is starting to be recognized in the US. Ahead of its anticipated American debut early next year, a trial run will be conducted for social-media members. To jumpstart the promotion of the car to its target market, Ford is presenting on ESPN’s X Games its three rally-prepped Fiestas, all out to win the X Games Pro Rally title.

The Fiestas will be handled by 1999 Indy 500 winner Kenny Brack, who drives the Olsbergs Motor Sport Evolution; 2007 X Games Gold Medalist Tanner Foust; and 10-time motorcross medalist Brian Deegan. The X games will be in Los Angeles from July 30 to August 2. Director of Ford North America Motorsport, Brian Wolfe, said that the Fiesta had impressed everyone at Pikes Peak. He asserted that he hopes competition at the X games would create even more buzz. At the Pikes Peak competition, the Fiesta was piloted by Marcus Gronholm and Andreas Eriksson.
