9ff GT9-R: full details released

9ff GT9-R

German tuner firm 9ff has been known to have built the 9ff GT9-R but it's only recently that it released new details and updated images. Only 20 units will be made of the vehicle, the price of which has so far not been revealed. The car is capable of generating 1120hp and is equipped with a 4.0-liter six-cylinder Boxer engine. The car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds. It can also reach 300 km/h in 15.8 seconds to a top speed of 414 km/h (257.2mph). If these claims are tested to be accurate then the 9ff GT9-R would be named the fastest production car built, beating out the 412.28 km/h (256.2mph) posted by the SSC Ultimate Aero TT.

It would also beat a pending second world record run by Keating TKR, which can hit 418.6km/h (260.1mph). If you'll be happy with a tad less power then you can ask for a 987-hp model built for the track that's just a bit slower than the fully tuned car. In addition, there is a 750-hp version on offer that is capable of hitting 300 km/h (186.4mph) in 20 seconds.

This vehicle has an engine mated to either a six-speed manual or sequential gearbox. To those who bought the 750-hp variant, the five-speed Tiptronic is an option. 9ff assures that each vehicle will be unique and it has a full array of customization options available on the street legal car. There are multiple aerokits available just to be sure that no two cars are identical.
