Novitec Abarth Fiat 500
Novitec is offering a tuning package for the Abarth Fiat 500, which has been modified to deliver 212 hp and to feature stainless steel sport exhaust systems, 17 and 18 inch tire/wheel combinations and matching suspension modifications. This kit, which is designed for the 135 hp (99 kW) Abarth, boosts power in various stages, between 164 hp (121 kW) and 212 hp (156 kW). The added power comes as the result of a special turbocharger and a more efficient fresh air supply. Abarth also fitted an optimized air-cleaner box with sport air-filter cartridge, the NOVITEC CORSE high performance exhaust system, larger injection nozzles and a special fuel pressure control. In addition, the 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine now boasts of having improved torque figures: 325 Nm (240 lb-ft) at 3,400 rpm, compared to the stock 206 Nm (151 lb-ft).
The package enables the 500 to sprint from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 6.8 seconds, while it is able to hit a top speed of 223 km/h (138 mph). For a sportier small hatch, buyers may opt for the NOVITEC sport springs, which lower the ride height by 35 millimeters (1.37 inches).
They may also choose the height-adjustable NOVITEC sport suspension made from stainless steel that includes stiffer gas-pressure shocks, making the range-topping model of the 500 range more agile. The car was also given a set of custom one-piece NOVITEC N10 light alloy wheels with 17 inch or 18 inch diameters. The set of 7.5Jx17 wheels is priced at EUR1,106 ($1,459) while the NOVITEC NT4-CORSE power kit has a price tag of EUR3,016 ($3,989).
