Currently the trendy X-BOW from the Austrian motorbike maker KTM is available from the Allgau tuning company ABT Sportsline. Being a large distributor, the tuning company does not only sell the X-BOW but also does all its service work. ABT is presently working on increasing the power yield of the machine for those who want to squeeze out more horsepower from the X-BOW.
With the partnership of KTM and ABT the X-BOW has achieved a whole new level as the chasm between the road and motor sport has been effectively closed. The 790kg open-top comes with the 2.0 TFSI 240hp (177kW) powerplant generating an acceleration rate of 0-100km/h in 3.9 seconds. As its name suggests, X-BOW is actually a shortened version of 'crossbow,' this flat racer drives as fast as an arrow can fly.
Soon, with further power enhancements from ABT Sportline, the racer will attain a total of 300hp (221kW). The X-BOW comes with lots of carbon and motor sport technology, and a road monocoque chassis from KTM. Consquently, the X-BOW ideally suits ABT Sportsline. No pricing is yet available for this special vehicle.
