Acura’s commercial for the Super Bowl features famous car collectors: Jay Leno and Jerry Seinfeld. The extended version, spanning a minute and 50 seconds, was released last Monday. In this ad, Seinfeld is doing what he can to be No. 1 after being placed second on the list for the new NSX. He offers the following in succession: money, a munchkin, comedy, and access to his network of Manhattan zip lines. But before the man gives in, Leno comes in on a flying squirrel jet suit. This ad is scheduled to run on the third quarter of Sunday's game. John Hagen, executive creative director for the commercial, said that the target is to introduce an ad that pushes NSX’s image as the ultimate 'must have' sports car but in a way “that is memorable, entertaining and aligned with Acura's brand position." The ad will be shown in Acura dealerships and at W hotels, where Acura is the preferred vehicle.
