Thanks to an inside source, we found out that Alfa Romeo, the well-known Italian manufacturer, is currently working on a new V8 engine that will be fitted with Fiat's new Multiair valve management system to boost power and cut fuel consumption and emissions. The new engine will have a capacity of around 3.0-liters and two versions, a naturally aspirated and twin-turbo. For those who don't know, the new V8 engine will be the first V8 from Alfa Romeo since the Montreal production was stopped back in 1977. Apparently, this new engine will be used on the upcoming Alfa Romeo 166, which is set to make its debut in the U.S.
