Alpine introduces iXA-W404 2-DIN touch-screen Digital Media Station

The leading manufacturer of in-car audio equipment, Alpine has recently produced its latest touch-screen iXA-W404 media station that comes with the latest interface, new features and all the connected luxuries a mobile enthusiast may require. The 4.3-inch, touch-screen show album art of the song being played, the titles of the succeeding two and the most recent songs played plus a capability of alphabetical song selection just like in the iPod Touch and iPhone.
The latest unit by Alpine has video playback capabilities via an iPhone or any 30-pin iPod. The W404 unit permits the display of three (out of a total of five) widgets built into the unit including a calendar, clock, and photo viewer and can be upgraded with the addition of components from Alpine compatible lineup ranging from GPS, HD Radio, rear-view camera and Bluetooth connectivity. Besides these, the W404 unit can furthermore control video and rear seat monitors. With a suggested retail price of $550, the Alpine 2DIN iXA-W404 will be available for sale by April this year. Pricing for add-ons are as follows: HD radio turner, $230; rear-view camera $220; Bluetooth module, $180; a dual 7-inch headrest monitor pack, $750 and navigation system, $350.
