AMC considering AMX return?

American Motors may have fumbled towards the end of its life in the 1980s, but the modest carmaker created some very cool classic American cars. When the muscle car epoch was still at its height, AMC was a participant with its Javelin, which competed against some of the toughest competition such as the Ford Mustang, Chevy Camaro and Pontiac Trans Am. Afterward, the Mopar boys initiated the Dodge Challenger and Plymouth Barracuda into the blend, blurring the racing waters to a greater degree. Although AMC had some victories with its pony vehicle, the AMX was very much AMC's most excellent production vehicle. Patterned after a shortened variant of the Javelin's platform, the AMX was a two-seater and was entirely about performance. The car transformed into something of a symbol for the carmaker, and the name was consequently utilized for a series of concepts all throughout the 1970s, right up until demise of American Motors.
