Even if you’re not a horror fan, you’ve probably heard of director George A. Romero before. Some of his films include the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, and Day of the Dead. It is blatantly obvious that Romero has built a strong cult following by creating zombie apocalypse classics. And this year, another movie by the legendary director will hit cinemas near you. It doesn’t come as a surprise then that the movie’s cast will still consist of zombies, but this time, it isn’t like any of the other zombie movies out there. In fact, even Romero himself finds his latest film a little odd.
To enlighten you guys, the movie is entitled George A. Romero Presents: Road of the Dead. The movie is set on a private island, post zombie apocalypse, and zombie prisoners are forced to race post-apocalyptic vehicles in a modern day Roman coliseum to keep the elite entertained.
The script, co-written by Romero and Matt Birman, was pitched about a decade ago. If you are not aware, Birman is known for his movies like The Expanse, American Psycho, and the X-Men series. Birman himself said that this film can be described as Road Warrior meets Rollerball at a NASCAR race, with significant inspiration taken from Ben-Hur, and some of Romero’s films of course. So now, you can probably imagine why this film is quite out of the norm.Read the entire article Zombies to race apocalyptic cars in George Romero’s 'Road of the Dead' movie
Nothing’s more exciting than when stories about aliens and “moon travel” finally hit the mainstream news. While “full disclosure” may still be far off, Audi fans will at least have something to be thrilled about come May 18th.
The news? Audi’s Lunar Quattro Rover has landed a role in Ridley Scott’s much awaited sci-fi film. For more than a year now, images of Audi’s 3-D printed moon rover are in fact seen throughout the Internet. So yes, the same Audi Lunar Quattro Rover will be hitting the big screen in the upcoming “Alien: Covenant”!
The new movie is actually the sequel to 2012’s Prometheus, a film in which Scott is also the director. This year’s cast now includes Michael Fassbender, Danny McBride, Billy Crudup and Katherine Waterson. Interestingly, Alien Covenant is also the prequel to the Alien movie series' first episode. Currently on its 8th instalment, the Alien fantasy thriller came out with its first story in 1979.Read the entire article Alien Covenant to feature Audi Lunar Quattro Rover
What would you do if you found an abandoned car, in the middle of nowhere? Report it, sell it, or just leave it where you have found it?
Well, in the case of Hugo Sanchez, I would say that he’s one lucky guy! Sanchez had recently discovered an abandoned car in the Baja California Sur. It was a white Bullitt Mustang, in poor condition. So, just like any other person, he brought it to a repair shop, supposedly to have it restored and repainted to turn it into a replica of the ‘Eleanor’ from the movie Gone in 60 Seconds. But to his surprise, he had actually brought in the real thing. To many people, especially car aficionados, this car is considered a “treasure.”
How can an abandoned Mustang be that valuable? Well, if it is rare and was once used by an iconic person, then its value will be off the charts. Apparently, the car he had found was one of the two cars Steve McQueen used in his 1968 film. Yup, as in 49 years ago! This was the legendary Bullitt Mustang that fans once believed have been missing for the longest time!Read the entire article Steve McQueen’s Bullitt Mustang found abandoned in the California desert after 49 years
He is best known as Wolverine. And after almost two decades (17 years to be exact) and nine movies portraying a vicious, emotionless mutant, Hugh Jackman has announced that Logan will be his last movie in the Marvel series. Sad news for all the Marvel fans. But that doesn’t mean he’s ending his acting career.
So what’s in store for him next?
Well, there have been reports that the Australian actor will be playing a totally different character in an upcoming biopic, as he takes on the role of Enzo Ferrari - an Italian motor racing driver, and the founder of Scuderia Ferrari Grand Prix. I guess there won’t be any slashing of heads and gruesome scenes for Jackman this time.Read the entire article Upcoming biopic stars Hugh Jackman as Enzo Ferrari
The Fate of the Furious has released a new international trailer and just like the ones before it, it is full of cars and explosions. This eight installment of the highly successful Fast and Furious franchise had already released trailers in the past which slowly showed the plot to its many fans. This latest trailer though appears to reveal more as to what is really happening behind the scenes.
As seen from the new trailer, the main plot appears to be a Cipher (played by Charlize Theron) seducing Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto back into the criminal world. The crew therefore must set out not only to stop a villain from spreading chaos across the world but to also take back the person responsible for making them a family.
Much like the trailers that came before it, this new one has the explosions and fast cars to satisfy any action fan. It also puts in the idea of family. The trailer itself begins with Dom racing against Letty (played by the wonderful Michelle Rodriguez) using classic cars on Cuban streets. In addition to the usual classic cars, the Dodge Challenger Demon will make its first on-screen appearance. There are also a couple of exotic cars, a tank, and while it may sound ridiculous, a submarine.Read the entire article Fate of the Furious reveals more in new international trailer
We hope we got it wrong. Dominic Toretto or “Dom” has turned into a bad guy judging from the latest trailer of Fast and the Furious. Furious fans know that Vin Diesel’s role has always been the good guy. But as his fate has it, he’s apparently turned his back on his family in the movie. That certainly doesn’t look good.
Interestingly, the 8th instalment from the blockbuster film franchise has been named “The Fate of the Furious”. So there must be a lot of twists happening here and there as there is also a submarine. Since “family” has been mentioned more than once, we can expect the story to pick up from there.
From the looks of it, there’s obviously an element of “betrayal”. The poster says it all. It even comes with a statement saying “Family no more” with Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel turning away from each other. Dom’s “family” as we all know are also his friends/crew in the movie.Read the entire article The Fate of the Furious trailer shows Dom as the villain [w/video]
The last time we saw Lightning McQueen in the second installment of CG-animated film Cars, he was racing with Francesco and Mater at the Radiator Springs Grand Prix. That was years ago, and at that time, he was at the peak of his game with no one seemingly able to best him in the circuit, having won the Piston Cups several times already.
Now, McQueen is back, and wrecked! Yes, Pixar has just released a short trailer – and the first official teaser -- for the third installment of Cars. It shows McQueen back in the United States and competing in the speedway. While he still has some strong showing – at one point he was leading the pack – the trailer reveals that his days of Piston Cup dominance could be over. At another point, a seemingly aggressive new challenger is making his way through the throngs of racers (could be Jackson Storm, a rookie who has trounced McQueen).
According to Pixar, a new generation of car racers has made their way onto the circuit and is simply making McQueen more irrelevant. At the end of the trailer, McQueen suffers another blown-out tire – or possibly mechanical issues – and ends up crashing in the mid of the speedway.Read the entire article Lightning McQueen suffers big crash in new Cars 3 trailer
Lexus travels into space in probably the much-awaited sci-fi movie this 2017. The film, “Valerian and the City of A Thousand Planets” is Luc Besson’s adaptation of a French comic book series. The European motion picture is set in a highly unusual intergalactic world known as the Alpha city. Thus, a high-tech space vehicle is an inevitable choice. Luc Besson’s sci-fi tale will be featuring Clive Owen, Ethan Hawke and Rihanna while Cara Delevingne and Dane DeHann will be playing the major role as space agents.
Interestingly, the single-seat space craft designed by Europacorp and Lexus bears a close resemblance to Lexus’ upcoming model. The SkyJet’s triangular headlamps and spindle nose grille are obviously inspired by the new LC500 Coupe. We couldn’t help but wonder if Lexus will be building real space ships in the next 700 years. The SkyJet as we know is only a fictional flying machine since it is envisioned for the 28th century. Though we won’t be there when it happens, at least we can get a hold of Lexus’ latest LC500 Coupe.
Designing the SkyJet has required Besson and his team to consult Takeaki Kato, Lexus’ Chief Engineer for advise. Europacorp is a film and television studio where Luc Besson (the director) is also the founder. Besson fondly shared his thoughts about their partnership with Lexus. He admired the brand for centering its technology and innovation towards the future. Their teamwork has nevertheless brought the most futuristic design for a spacecraft that would fit the story’s 28th century setting. The modern design cues very much represent the “Valerian era”, which is projected 700 years ahead of our time.Read the entire article Futuristic Lexus Skyjet to appear in Luc Besson’s Valerian Sci-fi action film
The James Bond series is probably the longest running spy series that started way back in 1963 with the first movie Dr. No. There have been more than twenty instalments released since the first movie, each one possessing the same spy-induced excitement as the rest of the movies.
The thrill and excitement in every series attract the audience but it cannot be denied that the different types of vehicles driven by Agent 007 draws in the crowds too. The James Bond series is probably one of the movies that are popularly watched especially because of the variety of vehicles featured.
Even when most of the luxury cars featured in the movies would probably meet an unfortunate end (like fall off a cliff or explode in one of 007’s race against time adventures), people like the thrill of seeing an Aston Martin or a Ford Mustang sprint in full speed on a race against one of 007’s rivals.Read the entire article Aston Martin DB5 tops ‘Favorite Bond Car’ survey in the UK
Almost a decade ago, Director Michael Bay first set off the journey into the world of robots through the Transformers franchise. Since 2007, there have been four instalments of the said film, drawing fans and critics alike.
Admit it or not, we have been drawn to some of its characters and it didn’t matter if they were Autobots or Decepticons because they all looked cool. Most of them were pretty damn cool. Why wouldn’t they be, right? It’s not everyday that we’d run into a red Ferrari 458 Italia that would transform into a bad guy busting machine or an AM General Humvee that’s actually an Autobot medic. Yeah, those things don’t happen everyday so that’s why there are some people who are hooked on this movie. But the character that has captured the hearts of many is the gentle but vicious Bumblebee.
Who wouldn’t recognize this yellow Autobot, right? Aside from his charismatic demeanor (and the fact that he’s one of Optimus Prime’s most trusted comrades), Bumblebee has always been easy to spot because of his color – yellow. Well if it isn’t obvious enough, the character sports a yellow paint scheme that is inspired by a certain genus of bees which makes his character all the more prominent in the movie. His alternative vehicle mode has been in the form of either a Pontiac Firebird or the most well-known of them all, a Chevrolet Camaro.Read the entire article 'Transformers: The Last Knight Sneak Peek': All-New Bumblebee Camaro

The upcoming Skylanders’ TV show is executively produced by Eric Rogers. If you didn’t know, Rogers used to be a writer for Futurama. That’s not the only project to come from Skylanders Academy however.Read the entire article Activision Blizzard plans 'Call of Duty' movie, 'Skylanders' TV series
The dialogue has always been part of the allure of any James Bond movie. More often than not, however, the dialogue involves sexual innuendo since seduction and charisma are part of the portfolio of skill sets that 007 cultivates.
It’s rare to find a James Bond movie that attempts to reach out directly to the audience and the real world. Yet, Spectre, the latest in the 007 films, executes a fine fourth-wall breaking scene when M, now played by Ralph Fiennes, tells the agents in the Double-0 program that they could be phased out in favor of wire-tapping, drones and other technological advancements.
007 himself will not agree that spies are ready to be obsolete, because nothing beats being there, face-to-face with the villain and being at the right place to remove the threat. It is this kind of personal conflict that defines Spectre and it is the source of tension between the characters.Read the entire article Spectre pays homage to James Bond film, introduces fresh new take on long-running franchise
