Hennessey Performance recently published a riveting video showing The Exorcist’s 959.32 hp and 756.29 lb-ft of torque on the rear wheels.
As it turns out, the tuner from Texas wants to announce to the world that “The Exorcist” Camaro ZL1 could cast out an incredible 959 hp on the Dyno test. It isn’t even close to the SRT Demon’s 840 hp at the crankshaft.
The theory is based on actual math, starting with the fifteen percent “drivetrain loss” on the Demon’s 1,103 hp. As for the ZL1, the boosted performance was made possible by Hennessey’s decision to upgrade the Camaro’s ECU, intakes and supercharger. Needless to say, the competition between Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and Hennessey Performance Engineering’s Chevy Camaro is heating up even more.Read the entire article Hennessey tests the Exorcist Camaro ZL1 on the Dyno, possibly to scare the Challenger SRT Demon
Now, its not actually Dodge that started this news. Instead, its an IndieGoGo user named Jan Tobias Lombard, who started an online campaign on social media. Basically, he is asking for people to make a donation so that he could earn $1,072,500 and buy himself a Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. In exchange for the pledge, he is offering those who donated at least $325 to drag race with him.
Right, you guys are probably thinking this is some sort of scam. The dude is simply trying his luck to get his hands on the hottest car that will soon be out in the market (without using his own money).Read the entire article Fan starts IndieGoGo funding campaing to buy a Dodge Challenger SRT Demon
Ford Motor Company confirmed that the 2018 Shelby GT350 and the 2018 Shelby GT350R Mustang will be available and is expected to arrive in various showrooms in the fall of this year. The 2018 version will be the same as its 2017 counterparts with the exception being that Ford will be offering three new colors for the exterior. These are Kona Blue, Lead Foot Gray, and Orange Fury.
That only new colors are offered is not much of a surprise is it was late last year when Ford confirmed that if the release of the 2018 model year would push through, there will no changes from the 2017 version. The announcement was made Monday, April 17, and is considered significant as this day is also celebrated as National Mustang Day.
The new models will be powered by the same FPC 5.2-liter V8 engine which can deliver 526 hp and offer a peak torque of 429 lb.-ft. There will also be the transmission, differential coolers, and engine oil, to ensure that the vehicle is cooled properly especially when on the track. Fitted to the 2018 versions as standard is the exceptional braking system which comes with the Brembo six-piston calipers and the two-piece 15.5-inch front rotors. It even has the MagneRide damping system to make sure that the 2018 versions remain well-balanced.Read the entire article Ford to release 2018 Shelby GT350 and GT350R Mustang in the fall
Contacting Father Damien Karras, Hennessey’s new “Exorcist” Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is getting out of control! We already know that Dodge is well on its way to unwrap its very own SRT Demon Challenger. Not to be outdone, Hennessey is also out to steal the limelight with its very own---The Exorcist. The horror of all horrors!
Hennessey Performance Engineering has created a 1000hp monster out of the new Chevrolet Camaro ZL1-- and even naming it after one of the “most profitable” horror movies ever made. But, way before Hennessey had cast its evil chants on the poor Camaro, the devilish muscle car already packs a strong 650hp and 650 lb ft-of torque. As if the Hellcats and SRT Demons aren’t good enough. Or should we say, “bad enough” for the hell’s standards.
With the new package, the 6.2-liter LT4 V8 receives a modified ECU, new larger intakes and an updated intercooler. Aside from the sufficiently large supercharger, Hennessey further enhanced the engine with long tube stainless steel headers, ported factory heads and high performance camshaft. Overall, this provides the LT4 with an extra 350hp and 316lb-ft of torque.Read the entire article Hennessey unleashes the new Exorcist Chevrolet Camaro ZL1
Dubbed as “America's Greatest Hot Rod Show,” the Detroit Autorama is held during the first quarter of every year and highlights hot rods and custom cars. This event has always excited car enthusiasts from every corner of the globe and this year was no different.
The event started with an orange 1969 Dodge Charger going up a ramp placed just outside the Cobo Hall in Detroit, Michigan. A video uploaded on YouTube showed the Dodge Charger going up the ramp and then, as the saying goes, it came down with a bang. Indeed, it came down hard.
The stunt, for those who are familiar, was a reference to the high-flying adventures that Bo and Luke Duke encountered in the 1980s show “The Dukes of Hazzard.” Running for a total of seven seasons, the Dodge Charger used in the show was nicknamed as General Lee. The name is, of course, a reference to the famous general during the American Civil War and its features included a Confederate flag painted on the roof with the horn playing the first few notes of the “Dixie” song. In the show, the General was not only known for its unique horn sound but also for being involved in police chases and the long jumps.Read the entire article Detroit Autorama kicks off with General Lee wreck [w/video]
Fireball Performance Cars has been known to make the fastest sixth generation LT1 Camaros in the world. Once again it has managed to walk the talk as it hit a new record running the Thunder Valley Speedway located in Noble, Oklahoma. Fireball unleashed a customized 2017 Fireball 900 Camaro which went for 149 mph and reach a quarter of a mile in 9.006 seconds.
Clearly the question on everyone’s mind is how they managed to tweak a stock 455 hp Camaro SS into what may well be the fastest Camaro there is. The quick answer is that it was a combination of expert tuning, straight-forward modifications, and of course, skillful driving.
The company already has the Fireball 900, a Camaro SS with a 990 hp engine and paired to an automatic 8-speed transmission. This could already make a run in the mid-9s but it was obvious Fireball wanted to do more. Thus, the LT1 headers were supercharged and ported in order to enhance the flow. Though already powerful, this was not enough to set a new world record and it needed some extra modifications.Read the entire article 2017 Fireball 900 Camaro runs a quarter mile at Thunder Valley in 9 seconds
The renowned Shelby Super Snake is now 50 years old! As we greet the Super Snake a “happy birthday” or a “happy anniversary,” Shelby itself is celebrating half a century of this ultra-high performance muscle car with a new generation car.
Just like its 1967 and 2007 predecessors, the 2017 Shelby Super Snake is based on the Ford Mustang. For the latest generation of the Shelby Super Snake, the base was the 2017 Ford Mustang GT Fastback. A number of tweaks have been made to transform the 2017 Ford Mustang GT into the 2017 Shelby Super Snake. Shelby American and Ford Performance worked hand in hand to deliver the latest generation of the Super Snake, with the cooperation of partners like Borla, Michelin and Wilwood.
At its finest form, the 2017 Ford Mustang GT – powered by an already powerful 5.0-liter Ti-VCT V8 engine – could provide 435 hp of output at 6,500 rpm and 400 lb.-ft. of torque available at 4,250 rpm. However, as powerful as it is, the Mustang GT is no match for the Shelby Super Snake. The numbers say it all. The now supercharged V8 engine in the Shelby Super Snake is rated to deliver 670 hp, or around 54 percent more power than on the Ford Mustang GT.Read the entire article Shelby American celebrates golden year of Super Snake with 2017 Anniversary Edition
If you always wanted to own a muscle car for everyday use, we think now is the right time to have one. Apart from the added AWD traction, the new Challenger GT also comes with better fuel economy. Well, that also means the 2017 Dodge Challenger GT won’t come with a V8 engine. This will probably leave those who had been wishing for an AWD Hellcat very disappointed. Or maybe not.
According to the EPA’s leaked info, Dodge’s latest model will have the 3.6-litre, V6 engine along with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. This type of engine can deliver as much as 305 hp with up to 268 lb-ft of torque. The EPA has estimated its fuel economy to be at least 18 miles per gallon for the city, 27 mpg for the highway and 21 mpg combined.
Consider the added traction as a bonus, which will be perfect for the cold weather and slippery roads this time of the year. Above all, the price for the Dodge Challenger GT starts at $34,490.Read the entire article 2017 Dodge Challenger GT arrives with 305 hp and AWD
When we talk about muscle cars, Chrysler has always been part of the top list. The American automaker created two of the best muscle cars in history – the Dodge Charger Daytona and the Plymouth Road Runner Superbird. These two, dubbed the “Aero Cars”, were products of NASCAR’s homologation requirement wherein manufacturers are required to build “one street legal version of their race car for every two manufacturer’s dealers in the United States”. The 1970 Plymouth Road Runner Superbird, was no exception to the rule.
The Superbird is a highly-modified version of the Plymouth Road Runner, which was produced as a follow-on project on the 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona. One particular model was up for grabs at the auction block scheduled on the 1st of December. Alongside RM Auctions, this model will be part of the John Staluppi Collection. The vehicle was sold for an impressive $110,000.
This particular kind is a genuine 440 Super Commando Superbird, and is clad in its original bright Hemi Orange paint work with black vinyl interior and carpet. The car underwent restoration for its mechanical element, including the steering box, and everything has been verified to match the numbers on its engine, transmission, core support, trunk rail, title, and original fender tag.Read the entire article Rare 1970 Plymouth Road Runner Superbird auctioned for $110,000
Fireball recently unveiled their latest racing monster at the 2016 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. As far as we can tell, this 990 hp Camaro can put the Roush Mustangs and Hellcats to shame. The creators of the Fireball Chevy surely know how to do their thing. They set the bar, win the game, break the records and guess what? They can even offer the first ever 990hp Camaro for as low as $100 per horse or $90,000. Not bad.
The Fireball 900’s racing powers come from its 990 hp at the flywheel. Obviously, the 900 on its billing does not necessarily imply its powerful output. Dubbed as the fastest track-capable and street legal Camaro, the 990 hp Fireball can also speed off more quickly than the previous Chevy muscle cars. True enough, nothing even comes close to this definitive challenger.
Earlier this year, Fireball made a record breaking 9.83 second run with its very own rendition of 6th generation Camaro SS. Talking about pushing things to the limits, the Fireball 900 boasts up to 485 more hp than the Camaro Z28 and 340 more hp than the ZL1.Read the entire article 2017 Fireball 900 Camaro is a badass muscle car, comes with 990 hp
One of these was made specifically for the 2016 SEMA -- the Pearl Candy Orange Mustang convertible. Among the many features, it has Wilwood brakes, AFE intercooler, roolver bar, Forgeline wheels, body kit, and nitrous oxide system. On the inside is an airbag suspension with the dashboard coming in orange with the entire interior having an orange contrast stitch.
Another example is the one by Speedkore Performance Group which is a modified 2017 Mustang GT fastback. MRT provided a supercharged Mustang variant equipped with the EcoBoost 2.3-liter engine while VMP Performance contributed as well with the customized version of the 6th generation Mustang. The fifth customized model is from Revology Cars which is in fact a 1966 Shelby GT350.Read the entire article Timeless Kustoms presents 1965 Vicious Mustang with 1,000 hp at 2016 SEMA Show
There have been rumors circulating that FCA will offer an all-wheel drive version of the new Dodge Challenger. FCA has yet to officially confirm whether such a version of the Dodge Challenger will be up for grabs in the near future. But it seems it will be.
However, FCA wasn’t the one that made the confirmation. Instead, the United States Environmental Protection Agency – through its Web site – has confirmed that there will be an all-wheel drive Dodge Challenger GT for the 2017 model year. Although the EPA Web site doesn’t actually specify that the new 2017 Challenger GT is the all-wheel drive model on the main page of the listing, the specs page for the vehicle clearly states that this Dodge offering is an all-wheel drive.
Having an all-wheel drive 2017 Dodge Challenger GT listed at EPA’s Web site is the next true thing to official unveiling. The list covers all cars that will be sold to the general public. In addition, the Dodge Challenger GT all-wheel drive model is listed as one of the options for the 2017 model year, which means that there is huge chance that this version is a real thing.Read the entire article EPA confirms all-wheel drive Dodge Challenger GT for 2017 model year
Whoever said that golf carts are boring, four-wheeled slowpokes must have lived in the past. Cars now come in all shapes and sizes so it wouldn’t be surprising for automakers to venture to designs and markets to hit the sales charts. Recently, Chevrolet has ventured into the golf market with the creation of a new Camaro golf cart.
With the advent of electric vehicles, it’s not surprising to hear that automakers are slowly turning to a (close to) zero-emissions version of their current models and Chevrolet is one of them. Before we know it, Chevy might be paving its way towards a pure electric Camaro what with rumors spreading throughout the internet of a Corvette EV. It’s not too far-fetched to expect both.
Until then, we will have to endure the long wait and make do with what is at hand. Now, Chevrolet does not manufacture any pure electric Camaros but the guys from Caddyshack Gold Carts in California might have one – well, almost. Actually, Caddyshack is offering an officially licensed Camaro-styled golf cart complete with General Motor’s stamp of approval.Read the entire article Get your style on with this Chevrolet Camaro Fifty golf cart
The 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is entering the market and is more than ready to challenge even the most advanced of sports coupes. This can be in terms of straight-line acceleration, refinement, track capability, and even technology. Global Product Development executive vice president Mark Reuss shared that the Camaro ZL1 was designed to be the best at everything.
Powering the Camaro ZL1 is the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that can deliver 640 hp or 477 kW. Transmitting the amazing power of the engine is the six-speed manual transmission with its active rev matching or the 10-speed automatic.
Handling capability is made possible with the use of the stiffer and lightweight structure of the sixth-generation Camaro which is combined with the electronic limited-slip differential and the Magnetic Ride suspension.Read the entire article 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 ready to challenge sports coupes
Equipped with a more powerful engine as well as a more aggressively-tuned suspension system, Chevrolet announced the return of its Camaro 1LE performance package for 2017 which the company touts as capable of breaking previous records in track performance.

The package boasts of overall improvements in both handling and track performance as they are enhanced versions of the previous generation 1LE.
Notably, it will be the first time for the 1LE package to be available for the Camaro 1LT or 2LT coupes and they will now have the more powerful 3.6L V6 engine. The LT 1LE also features a more performance-tuned suspension, Goodyear Eagle F1 tires and Brembo brakes, which give the new model an impressive cornering grip of 0.97G as the driver is firmly but comfortably steadied by the installed Recaro seats while performing high G maneuvers.Read the entire article 2017 Chevrolet Camaro 1LE performance package is back with more power than ever before

Boyacioglu can’t seem to hide his delight when Patrick got out of the Camaro SS and gave him the keys. This entire turnover is part of Chevrolet’s Find New Roads Trip project. Boyacioglu, who had been tracking the build of his 2016 Camaro SS, described the experience as surreal.
