Aston Martin and Bang & Olufsen announce a new system for the DB9

Aston Martin DB9 Bang Olufsen

Beginning at the latter part of 2007, Aston Martin and Bang & Olufsen have been collaborating to create some of the most outstanding and technologically advanced car audio systems the world has ever experienced. At present, the two firms have combined forces once more to develop a new system for the DB9 of Aston Martin. The new system, which is dubbed the BeoSound DB9, brings the art of high-performance audio to a whole new level.

The new system focuses on aesthetics as much as it does on performance, elements around which Aston martin and Bang & Olufsen have built a strong reputation through constant innovation. The new audio system comes with the proprietary ICEpower system that keeps high levels of fidelity even at high power and volume outputs while keeping the device compact in size. Depth and realism to audio quality is provided by the now-trademark motorized tweeters located at the dash which is intended to improve spatial perception of sound.

The system comes with a total of 11 speakers in addition to the two tweeters, one 200mm subwoofer, and the Bang & Olufsen DSP unit. The DSP unit helps the audio system to adapt to external conditions of the car and improve sound in view of that. For instance, in the Volante model, the DSP unit adapts to whether the top of the car is up or down. Pricing for the BeoSound DB9 system is the same as that of an Aston Martin DB9.
