Aston Martin DBS and V12 Vantage in Carbon Black Special Edition

Aston Martin Carbon Black Special Edition

Aston Martin revealed today a new special edition of its two top-of-the-range sports cars, the DBS and V12 Vantage, called Carbon Black. This special edition is celebrating the success of the DBS and V12 Vantage and comes with a bespoke Carbon Black metallic paint especially formulated with a subtle metallic twist to create a deep rich patina (each car will undergo 50 man-hours of hand painting followed by stringent quality checks). The Aston Martin V12 Vantage and DBS are offered with a real carbon fiber side strake backed by a black mesh and complimented with gloss black 10 spoke diamond turned alloy wheels.

Also, the cars feature a bright finished grille and front parking sensors in order to complete the exterior detailing. Inside, we find some stylish Obsidian Black leather highlighted by the silver coarse stitching. And this is not all! The cars offer lightweight sears formed from Carbon Fibre and Kevlar saving 17 kg as well as Piano black facia trim, centre stack and centre console, anodised black tread plates and unique sill plaques build on the carbon theme.

The interior is completed by the Aston Martin 700w Premium Audio System on the V12 Vantage and the Bang & Olufsen Beosound on the DBS. The Carbon Black Editions are already available to order from the official Aston Martin dealerships and the pricing is expected to be with approx. 5% over current base prices. For those who don't know, the Aston Martin DBS comes with an impressive V12 engine capable to deliver 380 kW (510 bhp / 517 PS) while the V12 Vantage uses the same 6.0-litre V12 engine that provides the driver with instantaneous access to high levels of power and torque.
