If you were hoping to get one of the 150 units of the wild Aston Martin V12 Zagato supercar that would be produced, better make sure to grab one quickly since only 101 cars would be built. The V12 Zagato has a price tag of £330,000 ($464,850). According to a GTSpirit report, Aston Martin will make fewer copies of the road-going variant of this racecar but not because of a drop in demand. Aston Martin representative Matt Clarke said that what was announced previously was that ‘up to 150 cars’ could be built. Anyone with taste and with a ton of money will want to buy a V12 Zagato.
The V12-Vantage-based coupe features a 6.0-liter V-12, which can deliver 510 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. Italian design house Zagato built the body. The vehicle was designed to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the DB4GT Zagato. It will carry all the talents that it had shown at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring endurance race.
The V12 Zagato is different from other Astons due to its black-mesh oversized grille, huge wheels, circular LED taillights, and a giant rear wing. Like most supercars, it has body panels consisting of carbon fiber and aluminum. It’s highly possible that the arrival of the new Vanquish led to the change in its production. It won’t be an easy decision in choosing between Aston’s new halo car and the Zagato-badged supercar. [source: GTSpirit]
