Aston Martin’s second Lagonda Concept coming in May

Aston Martin’s second Lagonda Concept coming in May

Aston Martin Lagonda SUV

The Lagonda Concept that was previewed at the Geneva Motor Show was a disappointment for many. The concept was penned by the same artists who designed the Aston Martin DBS and One-77 supercar, but it looks like a malformed sibling to the Lincoln MKT instead of the anticipated customized cruiser in keeping with the Lagonda personality. No justification will suffice for the plain ugliness of the concept. It was however confirmed that there is a second concept on the way.

Prodrive, one of the largest investors of Aston Martin, has pointed out that the Geneva concept was not a direct sign of the actual production car but was developed simply to gather feedback. Prodrive rassured enthusiasts that the second concept will be nothing like the first.

According to Aston Martin, the Lagonda brand will come up with models that are entirely different from its own range of sports cars. Thus, one can expect some kind of a crossover or sedan concept this coming May and it will be patterned on an existing Mercedes-Benz platform just like the GL-based Lagonda Concept.
