Volkswagen Polo is so popular without the AWD system, why shouldn't the A1 follow the same path? But, there is some good news though: the sport version of the A1, the S1 will receive the quattro all-wheel drive system. The new S1 will carry around 180 hp and with the AWD system installed will be capable to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.9 seconds while the top speed will be limited at 227 km/h.
The debut of the Audi A1 will be made in March at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, while the S1 is expected to debut in February 2011.
