Audi has unveiled a new ‘entry level’ version of the popular Q3 compact sports utility vehicle, the Audi Q3 2.0 TDI quattro 140PS. The Audi Q3 2.0 TDI quattro, Audi’s 250th model equipped with an all-weather traction aid, can now be ordered at just £26,510 OTR and is expected to account for up to 40 percent of total Q3 sales. The new Q3 model is powered by a 2.0-litre direct injection diesel engine that provides 140PS of power and 320Nm of torque, which is transmitted via a six-speed manual gearbox to the quattro system. Thanks to the engine start-stop and recuperation technology, the new model’s engine can return up to 49.6mpg combined and emit just 149g CO2 per kilometre travelled.
The highly efficient engine allows the new Q3 model to accelerate from zero to 62mph in 9.9 seconds and to reach a 122mph top speed. Still available for the Audi Q3 2.0 TDI Quattro are the SE and S line specification levels. The SE specification level features 17-inch alloy wheels, rear parking sensors, light and rain sensors and dual-zone climate control. It also features a Concert audio system with 6.5-inch manually retractable colour display screen, preparation for SD card navigation, Bluetooth interface, and Audi Music Interface iPod connection.
By adding just £2,750 on top of the tag price, a buyer could avail of the S specification level, which features 18-inch alloy wheels, S line exterior and interior styling enhancements, xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lamps and LED rear tail lights. Buyers could also avail of optional features like ‘steerable beam’ adaptive light technology for the xenon plus headlights; a high-beam assistant; and a hard drive-based navigation system with seven-inch colour screen and 3D mapping. Also offered as options are the side assist blind spot warning and lane assist lane departure warning driver aids.
