Audi planning a new A2

According to company boss Rupert Stadler, Audi is currently planning a new A2. But, sources from Autocar said something else: actually the new A2 could be an ‘E2’, an electric car based on the the A1 but with a new bodystyle.
Stadler also added that there is a clear position for the A2, between the upcoming A1 and the A3, but then he said something else: "If you don’t have to explain a car like the A2 then it works". This means that the German manufacturer is not sure about the upcoming A2 and what this car could be. Regarding the rumors of a new A0, based on the Vw Up!, Stadler denied them saying that there is no possibility to make a new car under the forthcoming A1 supermini, which is set to make its official debut at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show.
