Audi A1 S-Line

Due to the increasing demand in China, Audi AG said sales rose 15% in May. The company also expects that the new A1 subcompact model will draw more customers in Europe. Volkswagen AG's luxury brand, said that deliveries globally rose to 94,900 cars and SUVs, a marked increase from the 82,803 vehicles recorded a year earlier. Sales in China rose by 40% to 17,396 vehicles. Audi will introduce 12 models this year, including the A1 hatchback, a coupe called the A7 and a new version of the flagship A8 sedan. The lineup will be expanded to 42 vehicles by 2015 (from 34 in 2009). Audi said in May that it aims for earnings before interest and taxes to increase faster than revenue this year. In a statement, Peter Schwarzenbauer, Audi's sales chief, said that the company has been taking orders for the A1 for four weeks now and it has gotten more orders than any other model in such an early phase.
