Audi shows an 8.9 percent increase in November sales

2011 Audi A8Audi experienced an 8.9% increase in sales in November 2009 over the same month in 2008. The German carmaker sold a total of 82,750 cars in November but if you look at the figures from January 1 until the end of November, Audi had sold 870,600 units.

Peter Schwarzenbauer, Audi marketing and sales member of the board, confirmed that it has already exceeded this year’s target for China in November. He said that Audi’s leadership position in China strengthens the company. He also mentioned that sales figures in the Americas and Europe are also developing very well. Continued after the jump!


However, in China, the reaction has definitely not been lukewarm. In fact, China more than doubled its sales and posted a 101.9% increase, after it had sold 16,503 units.

Since the start of the year, a total of 139,872 cars were sold in the region. Meanwhile, US sales for the past two years have been largely unchanged.

Audi was only able to sell 6,810 Audis, with the first eleven months of the year recording a 7.9% decrease, with some 73,686 cars sold.

On a global scale, Audi reports that it has exceeded the previous year’s figures in 42 markets in November.
