Article by Christian A., on August 27, 2010

Antara is presently being offered by Opel with front-wheel drive for people on the go and families who require space and high seating and opt for the appearance of a crossover.

By picking a 4X2, customers are afforded more savings by a car that already provides very high value for cash. The Antara front-wheel drive comes with the Common Rail Turbo diesel 2.0 CDTI with 93 kW/127 hp as wells as the 2.4 liter gasoline unit with 103 kW/140 hp.

No matter what engine is picked, the cost of the front-wheel drive is 2,000 Euros lower than Antara's all-wheel version. The gasoline powered Antara FWD is valued at 25,970 Euros, while the diesel costs 27,880 Euros in Germany.

The technologically refined five-seat crossover has a handling comparable to a passenger car, with spacious interior compartments regardless of the compact exterior length of 4.58 meters.

Together it provides a high degree of practicality, with a higher seat position for higher visibility and ground-breaking transport characteristics like the "Flex-Fix" carrier system, which can quickly be pulled out from the back bumper to accommodate up to two bicycles.

The inside reflects the style and sophistication of a range topping sedan. Front seats that are heated, electronic climate control, 17-inch alloy wheels and a leather covered steering wheel are just a few of the comfort features that are typical in the Antara Edition Plus. Another standard feature is the Trailer Stability Assist which strengthen the the crossover vehicle's high value for cash.
