Audi is the first quality brand to launch an impressive long-wheelbase model in the higher mid-size class solely for the Chinese market: the Audi A4L's wheelbase is 60 millimeters (2.36 inches) longer, which is a particular advantage to rear-seat passengers. The A4L consequently provides unequalled roominess in its sector. Built at the plant in Changchun, China, the latest Audi A4L made its opening yesterday in Beijing. Audi has been making a long-wheelbase version of the A6 available in China since 2000. Now in its second generation, it offers improved driving comfort, roominess, and design than the rival. Drivers and passengers of the 4.76 meter (15.62 feet) long A4L will enjoy the same benefits as can be experienced in a chauffeured luxury sedan. The Audi A4L, which will be displayed starting at the Guangzhou Motor Show on November 18, will be at available to buyers through Chinese dealerships early next year.
