2009 Jaguar XJ offering more features at no extra cost

The range of the award-winning XJ has been revised by Jaguar, offering buyers even better deal with a raft of extra features now available at no extra cost.The latest improvements to the interior consist of an all-new seat design for enhanced comfort and support and heated front seats are typical throughout the range at the same time as air-cooling on Sovereign models is presently standard.

The XJ also received an increase in rear leg and foot room courtesy of revised front seat backs, allowing easier back seat access. The XJ 2.7-liter diesel engine was named Britain's Greenest Luxury Car in the Environmental Transport Association's 2008 Car Buyers Guide for two consecutive years already.

The honor recognizes Jaguar's commitment to providing customers with advantages in CO2 and fuel utilization, with the design of industry-leading diesel engines and use of sophisticated lightweight aluminum vehicle structural designs.

Famous for its totally aluminum body construction, the uprated Jaguar XJ range gives a choice of two engines for buyers - the Jaguar XJ diesel which gives drivers of luxury saloons the choice to select a vehicle with total fuel economy of 35.0mpg and CO2 discharges of only 209g/km, an enhanced number for next year, or the powerful 4.2-liter supercharged V8 gasoline which has earned the name 'the Super V8'.

The price for the Executive is £44,599 ($65,768 or €51,415) and presently also includes satellite navigation as typical plus front and rear parking aids, Bi-xenon headlamps that comes with headlamp washers, bright mesh lower grill and side vents and tread plates by Jaguar.

The price of the Sovereign is £50,472 ($74,445 or €58,186) and highlight a 20 inch Takoba wheels as typical together with 16/16 soft grain leather heated and cooled seats with embossed front headrests and a leatherette instrument panel and grab handles, additionally, Jaguar tread plates and front and rear lambs wool rug package.

A feature in the Jaguar XJ Sovereign not found in the Executive specs are DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting), metallic paint, power fold mirrors, heated rear seats, premium sound system with six CD changer and Jaguar Voice. Meanwhile, the Sport Premium specs is not available any longer in the Jaguar XJ.

The price tag of the Super V8 is £57,760 ($85,195 or €66,590) and highlights the crucially celebrated 4.2-liter supercharged engine earlier found in the Jaguar XJR and show off a comfortable interior with chrome side vents and Rich Oak veneer as typical. Additional typical features provided with the Jaguar XJ Super V8 option besides a Super V8 badge is Jaguar's high performance braking system with black painted caliper.
