2010 Fiat 500 Rosso Corsa Limited Edition released in Germany

Article by Christian A., on August 27, 2010

The German market is thrilled with Fiat's release of the Limited Edition 500 Rosso Corsa, which will only be available in this country. The Fiat 500 is of course, a highly customizable mainstream vehicle but with the Rosso Corsa, it just got quite a bit more exclusive.

This limited model comes with a special coat as well as a range of exterior and interior features that include a "Rosso Corsa" logo on the tailgate, 16-inch alloy rims that house red painted brake calipers, xenon headlights, a special audio system and a key cover that has the same color as the body.

Only 200 units of the Limited Edition Rosso Corsa will be made, with each unit getting an interior aluminum plaque with the car's production number.

Powering the bespoke Italian mini hatch is a 1.4 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 101hp at 101 rpm and has a maximum torque of 131 Nm (96.6 lb-ft) at 4,250 rpm. Compared to the other cars in the range, this is the most powerful non-Abarth engine, giving the car some awesome dynamic abilities.

The unit, which is coupled with a six-speed manual transmission, has CO2 emissions of only 149 grams per km. It returns a combined fuel consumption figure of 6.3 l/100 km (37.3 mpg), enabling the 930 kg car to sprint from a standstill to 100 km/h (60 mph) in 10.5 seconds. The car has a top speed of 182 km/h (113 mph). The Fiat 500 Limited Edition Rosso Corsa is priced at EUR19,500.
