The debut for Mazda's upgraded CX-7 crossover is scheduled next month and will be priced from 25,785 British pounds ($40,700). Initially, the car will be offered with a single engine configuration, a 2.2-liter diesel that releases 171 bhp.

Exterior enhancements include a redesigned front with new grille and chrome details, 19-inch alloy wheels and a new rear spoiler.

Standard interior equipment includes leather seats, cruise control, power windows, a Bose audio system and automatic air conditioning.

The car will start arriving in dealerships on Nov. 1 but orders are currently being accepted.

Last September, the new CX-7 went on sale in Japan last month and is available in four body colors -- Radiant Ebony Mica, Galaxy Grey Mica, Crystal White Pearl Mica and Brilliant Black.

The base model CX-7 has sporty black fabric seat covers while the CX-7 Cruising Package offers luxurious black leather upholstery.

Both model grades feature a multi-information display (MID), auto-light system (which automatically switches on the vehicle headlights according to ambient light conditions), rain-sensing wipers and Mazda's keyless entry and engine start system.

The New Mazda CX-7 'Sports Crossover' will be available in showrooms in the UK from 1 November. This exciting new Mazda is a single, highly specified model, priced at '25,785 on-the-road in a choice of five colours. Featuring a new turbo-charged 2.2-litre diesel engine which generates 173ps and 400Nm of torque, this new model offers both low fuel consumption and low emissions.

One of the world's first SUV's to combine sporty design and driving experience with SUV practicality and roominess. The new model refines the attributes of its predecessor and preserves its sporty nature. Updated design, improved ride comfort and handling stability means the new Mazda CX-7 will appeal to a whole new sector in the growing diesel market.

Appropriate to the more sophisticated and emotionally appealing look, the new Mazda CX-7 has a more dynamic 'face' with a larger five-point grille and chrome detailing. It also has numerous features as standard, including leather seats, climate control air-conditioning, cruise control, electric driver's and front passenger's heated seats, a bespoke BOSE' premium surround sound audio system, integrated satellite navigation and Bluetooth' technology.

A choice of five body colours is available, including Brilliant Black and Aluminium Silver Metallic, which contains aluminium particles that diffuse light and cause diverse kinds of reflections and shadow, plus Copper Red, Galaxy Grey and Stormy Blue Mica.

Thanks to upgraded safety technologies including a new Emergency Stop Signalling (ESS) system which activates the hazard warning lights whenever the driver brakes abruptly and heavily and the new Rear Vehicle Monitoring (RVM) system aiding safe lane-changing, the new Mazda CX-7 helps drivers to cope with everyday hazards of motoring.
