2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is the best looking car in the world

Article by Christian A., on August 27, 2010

The 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class was recently voted by about 100,000 readers of Auto Bild magazine as the world's best-looking car. Besides winning the top spot in the category "Coupe and Cabriolet" the Saloon was also the overall winner among all new models.

Those who participated in the voting realized two auto traits which intentionally tried to stand out with their exclusive character and unique design.

The determining factor in the annual Design Award vote set up by Auto Bild is personal taste. This year's auto design competition the competing cars were classified into five categories.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class got the highest votes overall, making it not only the most successful business saloon but also the world's most attractive new car.

The company explains that the E-Class represents status, quality, state-of-the-art technology and superb driving sensation as mirrored in its highly aggressive design.

The new E-Class is expected to be an example of future designs that many will follow. With the E-Class' attractive looks comes also an exclusive combination of driving assistance technologies including a drowsiness detection system, Adaptive Highbeam Assist and the proximity control system to prevent rear-end crashes called Distronic Plus.
