2010 Toyota Prius preparing for Geneva debut

Prius, the most advanced mainstream passenger car in the world, stands as the auto industry milestone in powertrain development. Three generations of Prius have demonstrated Toyota's commitment to forward-looking eco-friendliness and has brought the carmaker to create ultimate eco-car. The current Prius remains the benchmark for mass-mobility hybrid technology, setting the bar in innovation, design and driving pleasure.

The award-winning Hybrid Synergy Drive system have been revised up to 90 percent consequently making it lighter, more compact, more potent and more economical.

The car has also been enhanced to operate better in cold weather. System power has been bumped overall by 22 percent, fuel efficiency improved by 10 percent and CO2 emissions lowered to about 89g/km.

The new stunning design is inspired by the ECO-ICON concept of Toyota that comes with an aerodynamically efficient exterior design that comes with a very low drag coefficient at 0.25Cd.

Featured in the interior are ground-breaking dual-dash design, fitted with a series of driver assistance elements that are exclusive in the Prius class.

These driver assistance include a head-up display, Torch Tracer control, mounted on the steering wheel, to monitor and operate a lineup of equipment functions, a solar-powered ventilation system to keep the vehicle cool when parked under the sun, and a new variant of Intelligent Parking System from Toyota.
