2011 Dodge Charger Pursuit breaks cover

Chrysler revealed today the 2011 Dodge Charger Pursuit, a new car set to take on criminals faster and more efficiently. The new car features a performance suspension tuning, heavy-duty anti-lock vented-disc brakes (ABS), front- and rear-stabilizer bars, 18-inch performance tires on steel wheels and two-mode police-specific Electronic Stability Control (ESC) calibration.

All of these are completed by the rear-wheel drive design and redesigned front as well as by the rear multi-link suspension geometries capable to deliver a smooth comfortable ride.

Inside, the 2011 Charger Pursuit features a Police Interface Module for easy equipment integration, police-duty front seats.

Furthermore, we find the column-mounted automatic transmission with Auto Stick, red/white LED interior lighting for night-vision equipment and more.

Safety is also included, as the car comes with standard advanced multistage driver and front-passenger air bags, seat-mounted side-thorax air bags, supplemental side-curtain air bags for front and rear outboard passengers, driver's knee bag, tire-pressure monitoring and more.

Under the hood we find the new E-85 capable 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine with variable-valve timing (VVT) and, as an option, the car can be powered by the legendary 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine with fuel-saving Multi-displacement System (MDS). 2011 Dodge Charger Pursuit will be available for ordering in September 2010.
