In an official statement, Mercedes-Benz USA announced that the restyled 2011 CL550 4MATIC will be priced from $114,025. For those who don’t know, the new car is powered by a new 4.6-liter V8 engine has 20 percent smaller displacement than its predecessor but generates more power and torque.
The new engine delivers 429 horsepower and 516 lb.-ft. of torque, which means 12 percent more horsepower and 32 percent more torque than the engine it replaces.
Still, the fuel economy is improved by almost 10%. The second model from the CL-Class, receiving a new engine, is the 2011 CL63 AMG, which comes with a new 5.5-liter AMG V8 engine delivering 536 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque.
The 2011 CL63 AMG is priced from $151,125 and according to the manufacturer it delivers with 20 percent better fuel economy.
For those who want more power, Mercedes-Benz offers the AMG Performance Package which increases engine power to 563 hp and 664 lb-ft. for torque, while top speed is also increased to 186 mph.
Furthermore, Mercedes-Benz also announced that the 2011 S63 AMG, which is powered by the same 5.5-liter AMG V8 engine found on the CL63 AMG will carry a base price tag of $138,875.
