The revised version of Nissan’s X-Trail SUV is being introduced in the UK. The vehicle has already started selling and deliveries are set to begin in October. Nissan made modifications on the exterior and interior and the carmaker also reduced its CO2 emissions. The Ascenta, which is priced from 23,995 pounds, is the entry-level model of the range.
What’s offered as standard on this model include the following: body colored electrically adjusting door mirrors, privacy glass, automatic headlamps and wipers, front fog lamps and 17-inch alloy wheels.
The top-ranging model is the Tekna, which is priced from 27,495 pounds. This features power-folding door mirrors, xenon headlamps, panoramic sunroof and leather seats.
Its infotainment package comprises a Connect Premium HDD sat-nav with music server and USB port, a rear view camera and BOSE audio with nine speakers. Its CO2 emissions level is lower by 15% as its 173 hp 2.0l dCi engine (with a manual gearbox) now stands at 168 g/km.
Meanwhile, fuel efficiency is improved from 38.2 UK mpg (31.8 US mpg or 7.4 l/100 km) to 44.1 UK mpg (36.7 US mpg or 6.4 l/100 km). The 150 hp 2.0l dCi has decreased from 216 g/km to 188 g/km, with its fuel economy raised from 34.9 UK mpg (29 US mpg or 8.1 l/100 km) to 39.8 UK mpg (33.1 US mpg or 7.1 l/100 km).
The X-Trail also features a new manual gearbox, an improved shift schedule and enhanced friction reduction for the automatic transmissions. The X-Trail also boasts of having low rolling resistance tires.
