As you may know already, yesterday Chrysler began to reveal its new products and you could admire the new 2011 Chrysler 200, the 2011 Town & Country, the 2011 Jeep Patriot as we as the Fiat 500 Sport. It appears that Chrysler had a meeting with the dealers today and showed no more than 17 new products in Orlando, Fla.
The big surprise was the 2012 Dodge Viper which was revealed to the dealers in a concept form. Apparently the new generation of the sports car is amazing and was unanimously approved for production within 5 minutes.
Furthermore, Chrysler showed the new Dodge Caravan which now has a sporty look, reducing its competition with the Town & Country.
The new Chrysler 300C was also present at the meeting featuring a new exterior and suspension, but also a new eight-speed transmission capable to deliver an impressive fuel-consumption of 30 miles per gallon. The vehicle will also be present in Europe, wearing a Lancia badge.
The new 2011 Chrysler 200, which replaces the Sebring, was also showed to the dealers, featuring a new six-speed gearbox developed by Chrysler and Fiat and capable to deliver 29 miles per gallon.
Ram brand CEO Fred Diaz was present too and told the dealers that the manufacturer is considering a “Baby Ram”, a smaller pickup capable to deliver over 30 mpg and seat four people. He also said that a limited-edition luxury pickup dubbed Longhorn, will make its debut at the Texas State Fair in two weeks.
A Jeep pickup truck hybrid concept was also shown by CEO Mike Manley, still Chrysler didn’t say if it considers a production version. [via Wall Street Journal]
