2013 Aston Martin Vanquish creates a big buzz on the web

Article by Christian A., on June 28, 2012

The interest for the new V12-engined Vanquish super grand tourer from Aston Martin was so great that its global website, astonmartin.com, got its three highest traffic days ever on June 20-22. The site received more than double the daily average number of views over the past week. The traffic for Friday rose after several automotive news websites around the world, such as TopGear in the UK, linked to the new Vanquish configurator: astonmartin.com/cars/vanquish/configure.

Actually, the TopGear story on the Vanquish was its most popular of the month in terms of views. The global interest is also impressive. The visitors from the U.S. increased in number by 102%. UK visitors grew by 162% while visits from Germany increased by 216%. The visits to the site from China rose 81%. The Vanquish launch film at youtube.com/watch?v=jEXQA-eMolQ has reached more than 201,000 views since it was released on June 20. Pete Norwood is Digital Marketing Communications Manager at Aston Martin.

He said: “The unprecedented interest we’re already seeing in the spectacular new Vanquish from around the world is, I think, a very clear indicator of how exciting our new sports car is."“I’m very happy that we’ve been able to generate such compelling content, and look forward to welcoming many more Aston Martin owners, and would-be owners, to our website, Facebook page and Twitter feed over the days, week and months ahead.”

The timeless elegance of Aston Martin creations is one that is well-known in the motor industry. It has a highly distinctive visual language, making the modern Aston Martin transcend time while keeping its classic beauty.

Design is brewed at the company’s global headquarters in Gaydon, Warwickshire with Design Director Marek Reichman as its overseer. Here, they translate the brand’s philosophy into visual masterpieces.

Marek and his team are the brains behind the new Aston Martin AM 310 Vanquish, transforming the classic Aston Martin GT – working on its flowing exterior lines – into a modern-day interpretation of the Vanquish. The design from the iconic One-77 supercar was also used as an inspiration, its design language developed to create its 21st Century successor, branded with the Vanquish moniker.

The main inspiration though, is the AM V12 Vanquish, a car loved by Aston Martin fans from around the world. This, plus new aspects from the One-77, created what is now the new Aston Martin Vanquish.

Retaining the same presence as the one before it, the new Aston Martin Vanquish also offers a package more refined and functional than ever before. It has the assertive body language taken from the AM V12 Vanquish but it comes with improved agility and dynamics, making it leaner and more elegant.
