Article by Christian Andrei, on January 9, 2013

Citroën has unveiled a range of DS3 Red special editions for the start of 2013. These new models are based on DS3’s current DStyle and DSport trim levels, with exclusive styling features and more standard equipment. The special edition DS3 Red range is presently available and has a starting price of only £15,655.

All DS3 Red models come in Polar White or Perla Nera Black body colors, complemented by an exclusive ‘Red Touch’ interior and exterior pack, including a ‘Sport Red’ roof and door mirrors.

The Red range specifically gets the stunning ‘Sport Red’ finish to the front grille and chevrons. The interior also is customizing using vibrant red elements such as matching red dashboard and door handle surrounds. The DS3 Red models match the exterior body color that the customer has chosen.

These come with white or black 16-inch ‘Ashera’ alloy wheels on DStyle Red models and white or black 17-inch ‘Bellone’ alloys on DSport Red versions. All the wheels get ‘Sport Red’ centre caps. The standard equipment on the DS3 DStyle Red models include Citroën’s ‘Connect Signature’ pack, which consists of Bluetooth and USB connectivity, as well as an improved Hi-Fi system and added speakers for the best sound quality.

On DSport Red versions, the ‘City Signature’ pack is offered as standard. These include automatic headlights and wipers, rear parking sensors, electric heated and folding door mirrors, an electrochrome rear view mirror, interior mood lighting and a front central armrest. In addition, all DSport Red versions have Bluetooth, USB connectivity and the same enhanced Hi-Fi system as standard in DStyle Red.

DS3 DStyle Red is offered with either a VTi 120 petrol engine or an e-HDi 90 Airdream diesel engine that delivers only 98g/km of CO2. Powering the DS3 DSport Red is a THP 155 petrol engine, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, or an e-HDi 115 Airdream diesel, which is also partnered with a 6-speed manual transmission.
