Mercedes-Benz will commence the production of its new G-Class vehicles in September 2012. These models are endowed with more power, more technology and more comfort and safety equipment than any UK-specification model. With a starting price of just £82,945 OTR for the G 350 BlueTEC, the new G-Class boasts of more high levels of standard equipment, which includes but is not limited to new LED daytime running lights and a modified interior that dons COMAND Online.

The other standard features are the audio and visual parking system Parktronic and the new leather upholstery that complements the front and rear seats. The new G-Class features newly designed 18” five-spoke alloy wheels, electric folding and heated mirrors and instrument cluster with color display.

The new G-Class also comes with the Harman Kardon Logic 7 surround sound audio system. The G 350 BlueTEC model is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 engine the provides up to 211 hp of output and could travel up to 25.2 miles per gallon of fuel and emits 295 g of Carbon Dioxide per kilometers cruised.

The new G 63 AMG, meanwhile, is powered by a hand-built, bi-turbo 5.5-litre V8 AMG engine that provides 544 hp and 760 Nm of torque. Despite having more power than the engine of the outgoing G 55 AMG, the power house within the G 63 AMG has 13% lesser CO2 emissions to 322 g/km and improved combined fuel consumption to 20.5 mpg.

What makes the G 63 AMG unique compared to the rest of the G-Class range is the distinct AMG radiator grille with twin chrome fins running through the black mesh grille. The G 63 AMG is also unique because of a set of AMG wheel-arch extensions that have the same finish as the vehicle and a customized AMG sports exhaust system with chromed twin tailpipes as well as a new 20” five-twin-spoke alloy wheel design in Titanium Grey high-sheen finish.
