As expected, BMW officially introduced today the all-new 2-Series Coupe, a model that gives clear visual differentiation from the 1-Series models. Comparing it with the outgoing 1-Series Coupe, the 2-Series Coupe features a 11-centimetre increase in body length, a roofline flowing smoothly into the rear, new front and rear design.
Regarding its dimensions, the 2-Series Coupe has a length of 4,432 millimetres (+72 mm compared to the 1-Series Coupe), a width of 1,774 millimetres (+30 mm), a height of 1,418 millimetres and a wheelbase of 2,690 millimetres (+30 mm). Aerodynamics was also improved as the BMW 220i Coupe has a drag coefficient of 0.29. Inside we find a high-quality interior with driver-focused cockpit, automatic climate control as standard, iDrive operating system, optional Navigation system Professional including touch controller and a wide variety of storage compartments.
Some of the optional driver assistance systems include anti-dazzle High Beam Assistant, Adaptive Headlights, Parking Assistant, rear view camera, Driving Assistant, Speed Limit Info with No Passing Info display, cruise control system with braking function, extended integration of smartphones and music players, Real Time Traffic Information, Online Entertainment, extended functionality provided by apps for internet- based services such as Facebook and Twitter.
The BMW 2-Series Coupe will go on sale in March and it will cost $33,025 in the United States (228i Coupe).
