2014 BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe shows its sexy angles again

Article by Christian Andrei, on February 1, 2014

The BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe just can’t stay hidden and showed up again in some new photos. Set to make its world debut in March, at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, the new four-door coupe. As you can see from the photos, the design is not new: the 4-Series Gran Coupe shows the front of a 3-Series Sedan (F30), while the rear end is borrowed from the 4-Series Coupe.

As expected, the 4-Series Gran Coupe will use the same engines found on the 4-Series Coupe, which means that the 435i Gran Coupe will come with a 3.0-liter six-cylinder in-line petrol engine that develops 306 hp (225 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. The 428i Gran Coupe will use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine delivering 245 hp (180 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque.

Meanwhile, the 420d Gran Coupe will use a 2.0-liter diesel engine rated at 184 hp. The 430d Gran Coupe will get the same engine with 258 hp (190 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque. The BMW 435d Gran Coupe is expected to feature the 3.0-liter diesel engine delivering 313 hp (230 kW) and 630 Nm (465 lb-ft) of torque.
