2014 Fiat Idea Facelift makes its debut in Brazil

Fiat unveiled the facelifted version of the Idea, a model that is popular in Brazil. According to the official press release, the 2014 Fiat Idea Facelift comes with a new front grille on the Attractive and Essence versions, a lower honeycomb insert, new frames for the fog lamps as well as new wheels and hub caps.

The interior was also updated as it features a new dashboard with more sophisticated air vents, new commands for the air conditioning and a redesigned multifunction steering wheel. For the 2014MY, the Fiat Attractive gets air conditioning, while Essence adds chrome trim and the Adventure gets new steering wheel with radio controls.

Fiat also offers MP3 radio with Bluetooth and Exchange Dualogic Plus and locking differential for the Adventure version. Under the hood we find the same engines from the outgoing model, which are: a 1.4-liter four-cylinder delivering 80 hp and 119 Nm of torque; 1.6-liter four-cylinder with 115 hp and 159 Nm of torque; and 1.8-liter four-cylinder delivering 130 hp and 180 Nm of torque.

Pricing starts at $43,290 BRL for the Idea Attractive, at $45,370 for the Idea Essence and at $52,400 for the Idea Adventure. [source: Fiat]
