The Mazda Driving School Program will now include the all new all-new 2014 Mazda3. It will join the popular Mazda2 and all-new Mazda3 in the program that is targeted towards qualified driving instructors across the United Kingdom who either are self-employed or are working for small driving schools.
Driving instructors can avail of the Mazda2 and the Mazda3 as complemented by new incentives like a cash saving of £1,350 on the all-new Mazda3 and £650 on the Mazda2 as well as low rate vehicle finance at 5.9% APR on both models.
Under the program, both models would be supplied and fitted with approved He-Man dual controls at no cost. Mazda launched the Mazda3 in January and has since posted strong sales figures thanks to its good looks, performance, and fuel efficiency benefits. Mazda sees more sales for the Mazda3 following its inclusion in the driving school program.
Driving instructors will surely benefit from Mazda’s SKYACTIV technology that does not only renders the Mazda3 very fuel efficient but also very safety, especially during crashes as evidenced by a five-star safety rating by Euro NCAP.
The all-new Mazda3 with SKYACTIV technology could travel 72.4 miles per gallon of fuel and emit just 104 grams of carbon dioxide with its 2.2‑liter 150ps SKYACTIV-D. The Mazda Mazda3 1.5-liter SKYACTIV-G 100ps SE Hatchback carries a starting on-the-road (OTR) price of £16,695.
Mazda3 is also available in 2.0-liter 120ps and 165ps petrol models. The Mazda2, which is popular among driving schools, could be availed in all models through the Mazda Driving School Program, save for Colour Editions.
Mazda2 has a starting OTR price of £11,195 for the 1.3-liter 75ps SE with air conditioning. Mazda2 could alsop be availed in 1.3-liter 84ps and 1.5-liter 102ps models.
Mazda Head of Fleet Steve Tomlinson remarked that while Mazda2 is in regular demand from driving instructors, there are those who want a larger car that delivers safety, environmental and fuel efficiency benefits while being used both to instruct driving students and as their family vehicle.
