2015 Mercedes-Maybach S500 priced from 134,053 euros, S600 costs 187,841 euros

Daimler confirmed today that the 2015 Mercedes-Maybach S500 will start at 134,053 euros and those eager to order one have to know that the market launch is scheduled for February 2015. Still, the vehicles is already available for order! Meanwhile, the bigger 2015 Mercedes-Maybach S600 will start at 187,841 euros.

Pricing includes 19% VAT and are available for the German market. We have to admit that the vehicles are more affordable than its competitors, such as the Rolls-Royce Phantom, which starts at around 370,000 euros.

For those who don’t know, the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is designed as a chauffeur-driven vehicle and comes with a voice amplification system, a function that makes it easier to communicate with the rear passengers from the front.

The Mercedes-Maybach S600 is powered by a 4.6-liter V8 engine that generates 455 hp (335 kW) at 5,250-5,500 rpm as well as 700 Nm of torque between 1,800-3,500 rpm. This model is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5 seconds, while top speed is 250 km/h or 155 mph.

Despite these performances, fuel consumption is 8.9 l/100 km, with CO2 emissions of 207 g/km. The Mercedes-Maybach uses a 6.0-liter V12 engine that generates 530 hp (390 kW) at 4,900-5,300 rpm and 830 Nm of torque between 1,900-4,000 rpm.

This model sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.0 seconds, with a top speed limited at 250 km/h or 155 mph. Fuel consumption is 11.7 l/100 km, with CO2 emissions of 274 g/km. With a length of 5453 mm and a wheelbase of 3365 mm, the flagship of the Mercedes-Benz model range is 20 cm larger in both dimensions than the S-Class saloon fitted with a long-wheelbase.
