The 2014 Nismo GT-R was not the only model presented by Nissan today, as the German manufacturer also unveiled the 2015 Nissan GT-R. Set to go on sale in Japan on December 2, the new model offers smoother ride comfort, more refinement and benchmark fit.
As expected, this model comes with several updates such as a fine-tuned suspension, optimized electronic control of the shock-absorber valves, improved straight-line stability, standard Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT 600 DSST CTT tires, braking calibrations and fine-tuned steering.
The exterior design received significant updates such as new efficient, high-intensity, multi-LED headlights. The new headlights feature AFS (Adaptive Front Lightning System) that automatically adapts the angle of the light beam according to the speed of the car.
At the rear, we find the same distinctive four-ring tail lights signature that now form coherent circles of illumination. A new body color called Gold Flake Red Pearl is also available and as the name suggest there are microscopic gold-tinted glass flakes infused into the red paint, creating a spectacular effect in the deep, lustrous paint as the light catches the finish.
An optional carbon rear wing is offered, which is attached to a carbon trunk lid, giving a weight saving of half compared with the standard trunk lid.
At the interior, the steering wheel is trimmed in leather, while the part-aniline leather seats are embellished with stitched accents. A choice of three interior color schemes are available including a new pale ivory trim option.
