The Porsche GT family just got a little bigger as the German manufacturer introduced the all-new Cayman GT4. According to Porsche, it is for the first time when they are introducing a GT sports car based on the Cayman, which features components of the 911 GT3. What’s even more interesting is that the Cayman GT4 is able to lap the Nurburgring in just 7 minutes and 40 seconds.
Under the hood, there is a 3.8-liter flat-six petrol engine that produces 385 hp (283 kW), derived by the 911 Carrera S engine. As a result, the Cayman GT4 is able to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.4 seconds, while top speed is 295 km/h or 183 mph. Fuel consumption is 10.3 l/100 km.
The first visual impact with the vehicle shows that this is no ordinary Cayman as it features three inlet openings at the front as well as a large fixed rear wing.
As an option, the vehicle can be fitted with PCCB ceramic brakes, full shell seats made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP), a custom Sport Chrono Package with the Track Precision app as well as a Club Sport Package.
Same sporty theme is continued at the interior where we find a combination of leather and Alcantara, sport seats with lateral support and a GT4 sport steering wheel.
Porsche will show its new vehicle at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in March, but said that the Cayman GT4 can already be ordered now and starts at 85,779 euros in Germany, including VAT and country-specific features.
