2015 Ram ProMaster City has starting price of $24,125 for cargo version

The 2015 ProMaster City commercial van set to be rolled out in the United States in the first quarter fo next year will have starting prices of $24,125 (cargo version) and $25,125 (five-seat wagon version). Prices include shipping. The ProMaster City, which is derived from the Fiat Doblo, is powered by a 2.4-liter inline-four engine mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission.

It returns a fuel usage rating of 21 mpg city/29 highway/24 combined. Ram used coil-link rear suspension to improve driving dynamics, instead of inexpensive leaf springs. The ProMaster City features high sitting headlights and taillights to avoid damage. It also features large wraparound front and rear bumpers designed to absorb low-speed bumps with minimal damage.

For easier loading and unloading, the ProMaster City has rear doors than open in a 60/40 split. Inside, the van is wrapped in black or gray, with cloth seats. It will feature an available Uconnect entertainment system that includes a 5-inch screen, satellite radio and navigation, Bluetooth connectivity and a backup camera.

The ProMaster City features a cargo area that boasts of 48.4 inches of space between its wheel wells and more than 60 inches above the wheel wells.

The cargo area features around 52 inches of interior height to accommodate storage racks. The van has cargo capacity of 131.7 cubic feet, as measured under an SAE International standard. Payload capacity is 1,883 lbs. [source: Chrysler]
