Renault launched at the 2014 Paris Motor Show the Initiale Paris equipment level, beginning with the Clio. What’s so special about this Clio? Well, according to the manufacturer, the Clio Initiale Paris is available with new Ivoire non-metallic finish and an exclusive Givre Grey metallic finish, a new front bumper incorporating fog lights as well as a rear bumper with chromed exhaust tailpipes, LED daytime running lights with light guides, forming a distinctive ‘C’-shaped lightning signature and 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels as well as Initiale Paris badges on the front, rear and sides.
Same theme is continued inside where the vehicle features sports seats for the front passengers, full-grain Nappa leather upholstery with graded effect, visible stitching and woven Initiale Paris badging at the top of the seat backs and a steering wheel wrapped in Nappa leather with Initiale Paris badging.
Moreover, the interior includes a dashboard as well as front and rear doors trimmed in imitation leather, a specific zamac gear leaver knob for the manual gearbox only, Woven Initiale Paris badging on upper backrests and body-coloured air vents and interior door trim strips with satin-effect chrome finish inserts.
Furthermoer, we find aluminum pedal covers, Initiale Paris badges on lower door plates, illuminated vanity mirrors and flock-lined glove box, microfiber roof lining and specific floor mats. Other highlights of the Clio Initiale Paris are xenon headlights, heated front seats, the R-Link multimedia table that incorporates an Arkamys audio system, automatic climate control, Renault hands-free card, reversing camera (option) and opening sunroof (option).
A choice of three engines will be available on the Clio Initiale Paris: Energy TCe 90 (manual gearbox) and TCe 120 EDC petrol engines and the Energy dCi 90 (manual gearbox and EDC transmission) diesel engine. What’s more interesting is that Renault will offer the Initiale Paris Service Pack, which includes an extension to the warranty covering roadside assistance, including cases of lost keys, mis-fuelling, running out of fuel and punctures, the replacement of all wear and tear parts, with the exception of tyres, and all the operations specified in the service book or the Maintenance and Warranty document.
The Initiale Paris Serenite services pack adds a concierge service to collect and return the vehicle to the customer as well as the provision of a replacement vehicle of a similar stature and a full exterior wash and interior valeting of the customer’s vehicle, for each service. [source: Renault]
