2015 SsangYong Tivoli priced from £12,950 in the UK, will go on sale this summer

SsangYong will begin offering the Tivoli B-segment SUV this summer in the UK – a car that’s expected “to put SsangYong on the map and change brand perceptions,” according to Paul Williams, CEO of SsangYong Motor UK. It has a starting price of only £12,950.

Williams said that the customer wins with the purchase of this car, which he describes as “modern, safe, well-built and comprehensively equipped” and with unmatched price and warranty.

He also praised the car for its style, value for money, and interior finish. He believes that anyone looking for a small SUV should consider the Tivoli. Its range consists of three main model options - SE, EX and ELX.

But if you want some customization, SsangYong offers the My Tivoli programme. Priced from £12,950, the Tivoli SE is available with either a 1.6 litre Euro 6 petrol or diesel engine (starting this August) with manual transmission.

It features a set of 16” alloy wheels, a smart grey cloth trim, cruise control, an RDS/Bluetooth radio, a stop/go system (petrol), seven airbags, and Smart steering (normal, comfort and sport modes). Going for the EX gives you the additional option of automatic transmission on the petrol powered car.

It should be noted though that diesel automatic and diesel 4x4 manual are available via the My Tivoli personalisation programme. It also features a set of 18” alloy Spiral wheels, grey or beige leather upholstery, dual zone climate control, heated front seats, a luggage load cover, front fog lights and a 7” touch screen smart audio system with rear view camera.

The ELX, which is at the top of the range, is offered with the full choice of petrol, diesel, manual and automatic transmission, and front wheel drive or 4x4.

In addition, it comes with Diamond cut alloy wheels, rear view camera, smart keyless starting, privacy glass, a smart instrument cluster, rear spoiler, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers, front & rear parking sensors, and full TomTom navigation system with 7” touch screen.

It also comes with the option of the Styling pack and Red leather pack through the ‘My Tivoli’ personalisation programme. There are six colours to choose from: Flaming red, Grand white and metallic Dandy blue, Space black, Silent silver and Techno grey.

Through the ‘My Tivoli’ program, buyers can choose from two more colours: Jazz brown and Icecap blue. If you want a distinctive vehicle, the My Tivoli personalisation programme gives you that option.

For instance, the Styling pack provides a choice of five two-tone colour roof combinations, the Red leather pack, two additional colours: metallic Jazz brown & Icecap blue. The program also offers more engine and drivetrain options. [source: SsangYong]
