Toyota unveiled its 2015 Camry at the 2014 New York International Auto Show and we are eager to see how the vehicle performs as it is described by the manufacturer the “best Camry we’ve ever built”. The 2015 Camry will be offered in four models: LE, sporty SE, XSE and premium XLE. Each model will be powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine that delivers 178 hp and 170 lb-ft of torque, bolted to a standard six-speed automatic transmission.

This engine promises an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 25 mpg in the city and 28 mpg combined. The 2015 Camry XSE and XLE will be available with a 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine that generates 268 hp and it is mated a six-speed automatic transmission. Toyota says that the pricing of 2015 Camry LE and SE models remains unchanged from the 2014.5 model, which means that the vehicles start at $22,970 and $23,840, respectively.

These models arrive as standard with 8-way power driver’s seat with power lumbar support, shift lever boot, satin chrome interior accents, passenger window auto up-down, chrome front upper grille and a rear trunk garnish (SE models get the smoked chrome). 2015 Camry SE gets a standard 4.2-inch TFT multi-information display and direct pressure monitor system.

The 2015 Camry XSE and XLE models get the same features as LE and SE models, but add leather-trimmed seating, heated front seats and a four-way power passenger seat on the XLE. Other standard features on the XLE models include Entune Audio Plus multimedia system, LED daytime running lights, 170inch alloy wheels with a super chrome finish.

Meanwhile, XSE models also get 18-inch alloy wheels with machined face and black paint. Both 2015 Camry XLE and XSE models start at $26,150 when powered by the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, but pricing increases at $31,370 when the models use the bigger 3.5-liter V6 engine.

Camry V6 versions of the XSE and XLE are offered with standard LED high and low headlights, Smart Key entry, Entune Premium Audio with Navigation and App Suite including a 7-inch High-Resolution Touch-Screen Display, power tilt/slide moonroof, Qi wireless charging capability and much more.

The 2015 Camry Hybrid LE starts at $26,790, while the SE models cost $27,995. The 2015 Camry Hybrid XLE costs $29,980. According to the press release, the Camry Hybrid is equipped as standard with 8-way power driver’s seat, 4.2-inch TFT multi information display. Camry Hybrid SE models add Sport fabric SofTex-trimmed front seats, leather-trimmed tilt, a telescopic three-spoke steering wheel with Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio controls as well as silver interior trim.

2015 Camry Hybrid XLE models add seats wrapped in leather, heated front seats, LED daytime running lights, tire pressure monitor system and 17-inch alloy wheels with super chrome finish. [source: Toyota]
