BMW M GmbH has done it again with the new M4 GTS. The company has succeeded in creating a new design that takes the M4 Coupe up to a new threshold in its performance. Clearly designed with intentions to conquer the race track, the M4 GTS clocked in an impressive 7.28 minutes lap time on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife.
This record time shows car enthusiasts exactly what they can expect the M4 GTS to deliver. Surprisingly, the car is safe enough for use on public roads, making it a very versatile addition to the BMW M line. However, not everyone can have a BMW M4 GTS.
This is because the model is a limited edition model launched to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the BMW M3. Thus, only 700 units will be produced by BMW’s plants.
The BMW M4 GTS is a tribute to the innovative engineers behind the advancements in the powertrain, chassis and lightweight construction front. In addition, the M4 GTS will also be the first of its line to enter the North American market.
It’s the best car to have a great experience in dynamic driving. One can see the effort behind the planning and designing the M4 GTS in both its exterior and interior. For instance, the car features lightweight carbon-fibre bucket seats.
The centre console of the infotainment system is made out of lightweight materials. The same was done for the rear seat panels and boot area partition. Lightweight carbon fibre also makes up the constitution of the instrument panel bracing tube.
