MINI is introducing the first design model of the latest MINI generation that freely expresses a clear fusion between the brand’s characteristics and individual values as well as exclusive design features complemented by top-class equipment options – the new MINI Seven.

This new model highlights the unique character, British roots and tradition-laden vehicle concept of the original Austin Seven vehicle that marked the start of production of the classic Mini in 1959.

The new MINI Seven is wrapped in MINI Yours body finish in Lapisluxury Blue, an intense non-metallic blue tone finish. Customers may also avail of the three other paint finishes – Pepper White, Midnight Black and British Racing Green. Regardless of the body color chosen by the customer, the vehicle’s roof and exterior mirror caps are finished in Melting Silver. The bonnet stripes are specified in the same color finish, thereby harmonizing with the tone of the roof and exterior mirror caps.

Each of these elements features Malt Brown surrounds as an exclusive option. This new offering from MINI features side scuttles bearing the MINI Seven logo, which is also found on MINI Seven door sill finishers. MINI has provided the Seven with 17-inch light alloy wheels in exclusive MINI Seven Spoke two-tone design.

The interior surfaces of the MINI Seven are done in Piano Black interior surfaces, with sports seats in exclusive Diamond Malt Brown fabric/leather finish. A MINI Seven logo can be found on the central instrument. Customers may avail of the optional Malt Brown for the interior surfaces.

For those seeking more, they may want to avail of an exclusive optional equipment package dubbed MINI Seven Chili. This package is exclusively designed for the MINI Seven, enhancing not only the driving enjoyment aspect, but also the premium character of the vehicle. The MINI Seven Chili package has a lighting kit that includes LED headlights, LED fog lamps, LED rear lights and white turn indicators. A rain sensor with automatic driving lights control is also included, thereby allowing for optimum road visibility.

This equipment package also includes a sports leather steering wheel with multifunction buttons as well as cruise control with brake function. This package also comes with an on-board computer that shows the current and average speed, the current and average fuel consumption, remaining range, and tire pressure control messages. Moreover, this on-board computer also displays the MINI Driving Modes for individual vehicle set-up.

MINI also enhanced both ride and interior comfort by providing automatic air conditioning, a height-adjustable front passenger seat, interior lighting package, velour floor mats, and the MINI Excitement Package. To optimize the interior’s functionality and ergonomics, the new MINI Seven is presented with a new dashboard on the steering column and newly positioned controls. Customers may avail of an optional LED ring positioned on the outer rim of the central instrument that provides a lighting display that reflects the current driving situation.

Remarkably, functional operations -- control of navigation, entertainment, telephone and vehicle functions -- are all intuitive, done through the MINI Controller in the center console and the color display (up to 8.8 inches in size) in the central instrument. Interested buyers may choose from two body variants: a three-door and a five-door. The three-door variant represents a modern take on the classic principle of attaining the highest level of space and ride comfort.

The five-door version, meanwhile, represents an innovation that boasts of a wheelbase that is now longer by 72 mm, offering the best (in its segment) legroom, headroom and cargo space. Interestingly, the five-door version features a third seat at the rear. The new MINI Seven allows drivers to experience the brand-unique go-kart feeling thanks to its high-quality suspension technology with each model fitted with its own specific suspension set-up. Such feeling is also achieved with the help of Seven’s weight-optimized design for the body and with optimized stiffness.

Customers may likewise avail of the optional sports suspension and Dynamic Camper Control. Taking charge of providing excellent vehicle occupant protection is the integrated MINI safety concept that includes a body with highly resilient bracket structures and stable passenger cell, six airbags (front and side, side curtain airbags), three-point automatic belts on all seats, and ISOFIX child seat mountings at the rear, as well as tire pressure display for each individual wheel.

MINI also developed an array of driver assistance systems for its next generation vehicles. These include the MINI Head-Up Display, rear view camera and Parking Assistant, as well as the Driving Assistant system with camera-based active cruise control, collision and pedestrian warning.

This Driving Assistant system also features high beam assistant, initial brake function and road sign detection. Customers may avail of the following high-end options for their new MINI Seven – all serving to improve driving enjoyment and on-the-road comfort.

These options include MINI Driving Modes, MINI Excitement Package, Radio MINI Visual Boost, MINI navigation system and Wired equipment package, including navigation system Professional with MINI Touch Controller as well as LED headlights, LED fog lamps and Comfort Access.

Other high-end options include electrically operated glass roof and two-zone automatic air conditioning. In terms of infotainment, the new MINI Seven features MINI Connected in-car infotainment program and comes with the latest MINI Connected App including online search, MINI Streetwise, Force Meter and Sports Instruments. It is also loaded with MINI Connected XL Journey Mate with real-time traffic radar as well as Intelligent Emergency Call and TeleServices via a SIM card.

When launched, the new MINI Seven will be available in four engine variants with outputs ranging between 85 kW (116 hp) and 141 kW (192 hp).
