Renault presents ‘Iconic’ Special Editions of Twingo, Clio and Captur

Expect a new high-specification special edition for each of the Twingo, Clio and Captur small cars – all featuring interior and exterior elements and specification upgrades distinct to each model.

These special editions -- dubbed as "Renault Iconic Special Editions "— can be availed in an array of available engine options like the Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) automatic transmission for Twingo TCe90.

First off is the new Renault Twingo Iconic available from £11,845, which is derived from the Dynamique version of the Renault Twingo city car. Customers can choose from four available colors, including two new distinct metallic paints: Ultraviolet and Lunar Grey.

This special edition of the Twingo features Ultraviolet Iconic side decals as well as extra tinted rear windows and gloss black door mirrors. Its exterior is accentuated by 16-inch Ultraviolet Emblem alloy wheels, although customers may opt for black alloy wheels at no extra charge.

Inside, the Twingo Iconic features a black part-leather upholstery with white and ultraviolet piping, as well as ‘Renault’ door sill plates. Additionally, the interior boasts of floor mats with an ultraviolet Twingo motif and a matt ultraviolet touch pack that feature colorful hints.

Customers have the free option to replace the ultraviolet touch pack with gloss black. Serving as the core of the Twingo Iconic Special Edition is any of two available engines: the SCe70 and the TCe90.

The latter could be mated to either a manual transmission or the all-new EDC dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The powerplant options for the Twingo Iconic emit as low as 95g/km of carbon dioxide and returns up to 67.3mpg on the official combined cycle (NEDC).

Featured on the Twingo Iconic are convenience elements like climate control as well as automatic lights and wipers. It also features cruise control, DAB radio, Bluetooth, speed limiter, R&GO smartphone-based navigation, electric heated mirrors, electric front windows and front fog lights.

On the other hand, the Clio Iconic 25 Nav available from £16,775 celebrates the nameplate's quarter century in the United Kingdom in 2016. Derived from the range-topping Dynamique S specification, the Clio Iconic 25 Nav is available in any of the four exterior colors -- Ivory, Diamond Black, Oyster Grey and Mercury – each being a great complement to its decals.

Customer may opt to avail of the black-and-white cross-hatch-style roof decal that matches those on the wing mirrors. Coming as standard are exterior elements like 17-inch ‘Desire’ alloy wheels with black inserts, unique cross-hatch-style wing mirror decals and chrome window sills, extra-tinted rear windows and tailgate.

Its cabin features GT part leather upholstery with front heated seats as well as a leather armrest, leather handbrake, and an aluminum gear lever. The distinct black-and-white cross-hatch theme continues inside, but comes with detailing on the air vent surrounds and door armrest.

For comfort and convenience, the Clio Iconic 25 Nav comes with range-topping Dynamique S Nav trim that includes automatic climate control with one touch quick demist function and rear electric windows. Also featured are electrically adjustable, folding and heated door mirrors.

Available engines for the Clio Iconic 25 Nav include TCe90 Stop & Start, dCi90 Stop & Start and dCi90 EDC engines – the most fuel-efficient of them emitting 82g/km of carbon dioxide and returning up to 88.3mpg on the combined NEDC cycle.

Completing the trio is the new Captur Iconic Nav Special Edition available from £18,395, which like the Captur Signature Nav, has a starting price of £18,395 and sits above the Dynamique S Nav trim level. This special edition features as standard a two-tone exterior color, with six different body color options to choose from (Cappuccino Brown, Diamond Black, Ivory, Mercury and Oyster Grey and Stone) and three roof color selections to pick from (Black, Ivory or Cappuccino).

Its 17-inch ‘Explore’ alloys feature Cappuccino inserts as standard. Occupants of the Captur Iconic Nav are treated to Cappuccino part-leather upholstery. Front heated seats are standard. So is a bronze-tinted chrome interior pack on touch points around the cabin.

Also coming as standard are an array of driver support systems like Renault’s Techno Pack, which includes R-Link Evolution, European Mapping, an electrochrome rear-view mirror, and rear parking camera.

Since the specification of the Captur Iconic Nav Special Edition is based on that of the Dynamique S Nav, it features heated and electrically adjustable door mirrors, extra tinted rear windows and rear parking sensors.

Customers can choose between four engines for the Captur Iconic Nav Special Edition, offering carbon dioxide emissions as low as 95g/km while being able to travel on a gas of fuel as far as 78.5 miles on the combined NEDC cycle.

All Iconic Special Editions are covered by Renault4+ warranty that provides unlimited-mileage coverage in the first two years and another two years of protection up to 100,000 miles. This warranty offered by Renault also includes a four-year use of Renault Assistance, which provides owners with a year-long roadside and home assistance as well as national recovery and onward travel.

It also offers European coverage for the first three years. Owners also could avail of available three- or four-year service plans, which include the manufacturer’s service and maintenance program requirements that cover parts, labor and VAT.

The three-year/30,000-mile Service Plan could be availed for £399 while the four-year/40,000-mile Service Plan is available at £599. Interested buyers could place their orders for the "Renault Iconic Special Editions starting December 1, 2015, with the initial batch of deliveries to accomplished during the month.

RENAULT ANNOUNCES ICONIC SPECIAL EDITION LINE-UP

Renault is launching a trio of high-specification special editions across its small car model line-up. Available on Twingo, Clio and Captur the ‘Iconic’ special editions all come with interior and exterior differences and a host of specification upgrades that are unique to each model. These special editions are available to order from 1st December with first deliveries expected during December.

Twingo Iconic

Twingo Iconic is based on the Dynamique version of Renault’s award-winning innovative city car and includes cruise control, speed limiter, DAB radio, Bluetooth, R&GO smartphone-based navigation, electric front windows and electric heated mirrors and front fog lights. Ultraviolet Iconic side decals and 16-inch Ultraviolet Emblem alloy wheels complement the range of four colours available – including two new and unique metallic paints: Ultraviolet and Lunar Grey. Black alloy wheels are available as a no cost option. Extra tinted rear windows and gloss black door mirrors complete the exterior enhancements.

Clio Iconic 25 Nav

Celebrating its quarter century in the UK in 2016, the Clio Iconic 25 Nav supermini is available with TCe90 Stop & Start, dCi90 Stop & Start and dCi90 EDC engines. Based on the top-of-the-range Dynamique S specification, the special edition receives 17-inch ‘Desire’ alloy wheels with black inserts, chrome window sills, extra-tinted rear windows and tailgate, and distinctive cross-hatch-style wing mirror decals as standard. The decals complement the range of four stylish exterior colours on offer – Ivory, Diamond Black, Oyster Grey and Mercury. To add to the uniqueness of this special edition, customers can choose to complement the exterior colour with the optional black and white cross-hatch-style roof decal, to match those on the wing mirrors.

To the inside, drivers will enjoy GT part leather upholstery with front heated seats. Suiting the calm ambiance of the cabin, Clio Iconic 25 Nav also receives a leather armrest and leather handbrake, matched with an aluminium gear lever. The unique black and white cross-hatch design seen on the exterior can also be found inside, with touches to the air vent surrounds and door armrest.

The Iconic 25 Nav builds on the top-of-the-range Dynamique S Nav trim which features automatic climate control with one touch quick demist function, rear electric windows and electrically adjustable, folding and heated door mirrors. The Clio’s engine range offers emissions as low as 82g/km CO2 and returns up to 88.3mpg on the combined NEDC cycle.

Captur Iconic Nav

The Captur Iconic Nav Special Edition is available for the same price as the Captur Signature Nav – from £18,395. Like the Signature Nav, the Captur Iconic Nav sits on the trim level above Dynamique S Nav. The model receives two-tone exterior colour as standard, with the customer able to choose from six different body colour options – Diamond Black, Ivory, Cappuccino Brown, Oyster Grey, Stone or Mercury – with either a Black, Ivory or Cappuccino roof. 17-inch ‘Explore’ alloys with Cappuccino inserts are standard on the special edition, complementing the exterior colour choices.

The interior of the Captur Iconic Nav receives Cappuccino part-leather upholstery with front heated seats as well as a bronze-tinted chrome interior pack on touch points around the cabin, bringing the stylish colours of the exterior, inside. The Captur Iconic Nav also offers a number of driver aids and sophisticated options as standard such as Renault’s Techno Pack which includes R-Link Evolution, rear parking camera and European Mapping, as well as an electrochrome rear-view mirror.

The Captur Iconic Nav Special Edition is based on the Dynamique S Nav specification, receiving rear parking sensors, heated and electrically adjustable door mirrors and extra tinted rear windows. The Captur’s range of four engines offer emissions as low as 95g/km and returns up to 78.5mpg on the combined NEDC cycle.

As with all new Renault models, the Iconic Special Editions are covered by Renault4+ – a four-year warranty that offers unlimited-mileage cover in the first two years and then two further years of protection up to 100,000 miles. Renault 4+ also includes four years of Renault Assistance, comprising of 24 hours a day, 365 days a year assistance on the roadside and from home, national recovery and onward travel. European cover is also included for the first three years.

Renault also offers a suite of service plans available over three or four years. The Renault Service Plan covers the manufacturer’s service and maintenance programme requirements including parts, labour and VAT for the period chosen. For Twingo, Clio and Captur, the 3 year/30,000 mile Service Plan is available at the recommended retail price of £399 and the 4 year/40,000 mile Service Plan available at £599.
